Benjamin McNiece – Essendon

AFL Victoria’s Match Review Panel charged player McNiece for engaging in rough conduct against North Ballarat player Ben Lusby during the third quarter of the VFL Round 7 match, Essendon vs North Ballarat on Saturday 3rd June, 2017 at Windy Hill.

Based on the available video and medical report, the incident was assessed as careless conduct with low impact and high contact. The incident was classified as a one match base sanction. The player has no applicable record which impacted the penalty, therefore Essendon have the option to accept an early guilty plea of a $200 fine (AFL Rookie Listed) and a reprimand. OUTCOME: Accepted early guilty plea.

 

Ayden Kennedy – Box Hill Hawks

AFL Victoria’s Match Review Panel charged player Kennedy for engaging in rough conduct against Port Melbourne player Toby Pinwill during the first quarter of the VFL Round 7 match, Port Melbourne vs Box Hill Hawks on Saturday 3rd June, 2017 at North Port Oval.

Based on the available video and medical report, the incident was assessed as careless conduct with low impact and high contact. The incident was classified as a one match base sanction. The player has no applicable record which impacted the penalty, therefore Box Hill Hawks have the option to accept an early guilty plea of a $150 fine (VFL Listed) and a reprimand. OUTCOME: Accepted early guilty plea.
