Please find below results from AFL Victoria’s Match Review Panel from VFL, AFL Victoria Development League and TAC Cup games played on the weekend.

Hayden Walters – North Ballarat

Player Walters was reported for striking Box Hill Hawks player Andrew Moore prior to the commencement of the third quarter of the VFL Round 13 match, Box Hill Hawks vs North Ballarat on Sunday 16th July, 2017 at Box Hill City Oval.

Due to their being no vision captured of the alleged incident, the matter has been referred directly to AFL Victoria’s Tribunal on Tuesday 18th July, 2017 at AFL Victoria Head Office.

Outcome – North Ballarat and player Walters pleaded guilty to striking – classified as Careless Contact, Low Impact, High Contact and received a one match sanction. Due to the players previous bad record, the one match sanction stands.

 

Tommy Horne – Box Hill Hawks

AFL Victoria’s Match Review Panel charged player Horne for engaging in rough conduct against Northern Blues player Max Gleeson during the final quarter of the AFL Victoria Development League Round 13 match, Box Hill Hawks vs Northern Blues on Sunday 16th July, 2017 at Box Hill City Oval.

Based on the available video and medical report, the incident was assessed as careless conduct with high impact and high contact. The incident was classified as a three match base sanction. The player has no applicable record which impacted the penalty, therefore Box Hill Hawks have the option to accept an early guilty plea of a two match sanction. 

Outcome – accepted two match sanction.

 

Kye Yodgee – Northern Knights

AFL Victoria’s Match Review Panel charged player Yodgee for engaging in rough conduct against Dandenong Stingrays player Jai Taylor during the final quarter of the TAC Cup Round 13 match, Dandenong Stingrays vs Northern Knights on Saturday 15th July, 2017 at Shepley Oval.

Based on the available video and medical report, the incident was assessed as careless conduct with medium impact and high contact. The incident was classified as a two match base sanction. The player has no applicable record which impacted the penalty, therefore the Northern Knights have the option to accept an early guilty plea of a one match sanction.

Outcome – accepted one match sanction.
