AFL VICTORIA MRP RESULTS – JULY 29/30

Nick Graham – Northern Blues

AFL Victoria’s Match Review Panel charged player Graham for engaging in rough conduct against Geelong player James Tsitas during the third quarter of the VFL Round 15 match, Northern Blues vs Geelong on Saturday 29th July, 2017 at IKON Park.

Based on the available video and medical report, the incident was assessed as careless conduct with medium impact and high contact. The incident was classified as a two match base sanction. The player has no applicable record which impacted the penalty. An early guilty plea enables the player to accept a one match sanction.

Outcome – contesting at AFL Victoria’s Tribunal tonight – AFL Victoria Head Office, commencing at 6.45PM.

 

Mason Cox – Collingwood

AFL Victoria’s Match Review Panel charged player Cox for engaging in rough conduct against Essendon player Eamon Ogden during the final quarter of the VFL Round 15 match, Collingwood vs Essendon on Sunday 30th July, 2017 at Victoria Park.

Based on the available video and medical report, the incident was assessed as careless conduct with low impact and high contact. The incident was classified as a one match base sanction. The player has no applicable record which impacted the penalty. An early guilty plea enables the player to accept a $200 fine (AFL Rookie Listed) and a reprimand.

Outcome – accepted $200 fine (AFL Rookie Listed) and a reprimand.

 

Mitchell O’Donnell – Box Hill Hawks

AFL Victoria’s Match Review Panel charged player O’Donnell for engaging in rough conduct against Sandringham player Nathan Wright during the final quarter of the VFL Round 15 match, Sandringham vs Box Hill Hawks on Sunday 30th July, 2017 at Trevor Barker Oval.

Based on the available video and medical report, the incident was assessed as careless conduct with low impact and high contact.

In summary, due to an existing bad record, player O’Donnell’s base sanction has been increased by one match, resulting in a two match sanction, with the option of accepting a one match sanction with an early guilty plea.

Outcome – accepted one match sanction.

 

Aaron Bond – Box Hill Hawks

AFL Victoria’s Match Review Panel charged player Bond for engaging in rough conduct against Sandringham player Lachlan Batten during the final quarter of the AFL Victoria Development League Round 15 match, Sandringham vs Box Hill Hawks on Sunday 30th July, 2017 at Trevor Barker Oval.

Based on the available video and medical report, the incident was assessed as intentional conduct with low impact and high contact. The incident was classified as a two match base sanction. The player has no applicable record which impacted the penalty. An early guilty plea enables the player to accept a one match sanction.

Outcome – accepted one match sanction.

 

Daniel Hughes – Sandringham

AFL Victoria’s Match Review Panel have directed an incident involving Sandringham player Daniel Hughes direct to AFL Victoria’s Tribunal on Tuesday 1st August, 2017 at AFL Victoria Head Office commencing at 6.00PM.

Player Hughes was reported for allegedly spitting on or at an opposition player, in the AFL Victoria Development League Round 15 match, Sandringham vs Box Hill Hawks on Sunday 30th July 2017 at Trevor Barker Oval.

Outcome – TBC
