We’ve only just finished thawing out from a typically wild winters’ day down at Point Gellibrand on Sunday, as we went down to the old rivals Williamstown by 18 points.
Despite the best efforts of Mack Rivett, we couldn’t quite make the most of our opportunities when it counted most; with credit to the Seagulls for playing to the conditions very well.
Our 2018 fate will now come down to this Saturday’s final home-and-away clash with Footscray from 11:00am at the Whitten Oval.
The Bulldogs are chasing our spot inside the top 8, so there’ll be plenty to play for and we hope to see a strong contingent of Borough fans out at Footscray supporting the boys in their quest to lock down a Finals berth!
Regardless of the result, Stannards Stadium (North Port Oval) will once again be playing host to this year’s VFL ‘Love the Game’ Finals Series, so there’ll still be plenty of opportunities to get your footy fix in familiar surrounds over the next few weeks!
Get in quick as bookings are closing at the end of this week for our next major function – the Port Melbourne Football Club’s annual Past Players and Officials Association Luncheon, to be held on Friday 31st August 2018 in the Sandridge Events Centre. Special Guest Speaker is none other than the legendary Robert ‘Dipper’ DiPierdomenico! Visit our website for more information.
Best of luck to the Borough boys this weekend!
