IN A NUTSHELL: Sandringham conceded the first four goals of the game to trail by 22 points early in the second term, but worked their way back into the game by kicking nine of the last 14 goals of the match. The Zebras hit the front at the 17-minute mark of the final term through Johnathan Haidon and retained the lead in a thrilling final term.
KEY MOMENTS: After Geelong jumped out to a 14-point lead early in the final term, Sandringham stormed home with four in a row to claim back-to-back wins to start the season.

IN A NUTSHELL: North Melbourne hit the front at the 22-minute mark of the final term for a memorable win, after trailing all game. Northern Blues led by 36 points, 21 minutes into the third term, but the Kangaroos finished strongly with eight of the last 10 goals of the game, including a six-goal final term.
KEY MOMENTS: Northern Blues had all the answers, with their defensive pressure ensuring the Kangaroos were unable to kick back to back goals till the end of the first half. Despite a number of players sidelined in the second half, including Mason Wood, North Melbourne kicked back-to-back majors again to end the third term, reducing the Blues’ lead to 25 points at three quarter time, setting up a shot at an unlikely victory.

FORMLINES: North Melbourne got off to the perfect start as a standalone club, with a come from behind victory. Northern Blues will be pleased with a closer margin than the 130-point Round 1 defeat to Collingwood, but will feel like this is the one that got away after dominating the match for three quarters.
