In the final Rd 13 Peter Jackson VFL game, Box Hill Hawks moved back to top spot on the ladder with a 49-point win over North Ballarat.

The Hawks led by as much as 64 points in the third term, only for the Roosters to cut the margin in the final term with five goals to three.

Box Hill wrestled top spot back from Williamstown, after the Seagulls moved to the ladder lead after the Saturday results.

The Box Hill Hawks made the most of the breeze in the first term to set up its victory, kicking five unanswered goals to lead by 30 points at the first break. The five goal buffer was one the Hawks retained for the remainder of the game, with the backline looking more settled with the return of captain David Mirra, supporting the likes of Mitch Lewis and Ayden Kennedy in defense, while Tyrone Vickery played was strong in the middle, playing all day in the ruck. The Hawks shared the goals around, with 11 individual goalkickers to start the game till Dallas Wilsmore kicked 2 in the third term. The Roosters finished strongly with the first four goals of the final term, but the Hawks answered with three of the last four goals.
